Man the story has kind of turned to shit. The fight in Shangri-La is written so much better. Everybody in the comments are happy about the outcome because it was a well done david vs goliath story. This one? everybody is angry about it even tho the MC "won".

bone chilling flame used to cause less trouble back then because original owner Yao Chen was with xy. Now that Yao chen is gone, bone chilling flame is like a foreign power in his body and always back fires. XY is forcefully keeping it for yao lao's sake.

RRemember before moyan velly boss showed up, xy had to run and fight for days, they were the target of all experts, xy did not get enough rest.

Had u read the novel u would know that xy was complete badass in this fight. he was like a god of destruction in this. his angry buddha lotus was called exterminating lotus, because it was so op that 50 km radius area would evaporate if it blasts, even xy had no idea, whole academy people thought that they r dead now.

I know that power gaps between each level get ridiculously large as their cultivation level gets higher, but since MC already has three heavenly flames, I thought that should somewhat fill that gap. He killed Yun Shan, a Dou Zong, when he was still a Dou Wang with two heavenly flames and a wisp of the bone chilling flame from Yao Lao. Now that he's a Dou Huang, full control of the Bone Chilling Flame, and a few power-ups, he should at least be able to injure the Moyan Valley leader without becoming a sitting duck through most of the fight.

No, XY still has not refined Bone Chilling Flame yet, so technically he still has 2 heavenly flames only. If he refined it, he could probably reach Dou Zong, but he didn't, he just want to keep safe it for his teacher.

At the end of creating Exterminating Fire Lotus in this episode, you can see XY expelling a red flame from his forehead, that was Life Transforming Flame that he got from fighting with Demon Flame Valley elders. So total of 4 flames (3 heavenly flames plus 1 Life Transforming Flame).

Atm, XY was at Dou Huang 4 while that Old Ground Demon Ghost was at Dou Zong 7, so there's over one whole level gap there between them. And those two protector elders were at Dou Zong 9.

bruh, XY is getting worse and worse. How long does it take him to make the lotus? He's done it so many times he should know it without even thinking about it. Totally agree with the writing being poor atm in this ark middle to late parts. It just feels like it drags on and we kind of want to move on to more interesting progression honestly the moment XY stops the need to cast 1000 years for an ability that doesn't even one shot and can be easily escaped and or blocked because sure it can :D we'll probably be back on track and feel the show being a lot better. The problem is getting thou this slug part of the story bit. I'm 100% sure in the future when this season is fully out and someone re-watch it or for people that have waited to bench it will feel a lot better but atm its BOOOOORING xD. Some shows do have that unfortunate feel when its wait time for new ep each weak the story when its not so good written parts feeling like a slug like atm in BTTH. Honestly i might give it an ep or 2 more and if it doesn't pick up just wait for the entire season to come out and skip thru the boring parts till the story does get back on track.
